Duz Cho Construction successfully completed the cast-in-place construction of the 80-meter Halfway River Boat Ramp in 2023. This project, which involved specialized concrete placement and finishing techniques, marks the first of its kind in terms of design. The distinctive 45-degree pattern and finish have been specifically tailored for this ramp, ensuring reliable access to the Site C Reservoir starting in August 2024. This unique design is intended to facilitate year-round access, even under adverse winter conditions.
In addition, Duz Cho completed 400 meters of highway expansion to improve access to the newly developed boat launch and day-use area. The completion of this ramp represents a significant milestone in the Site C project and the Highway 29 realignment, providing the only boat access between Lynx Creek and Fort St. John to the 87-kilometer reservoir.
This project was completed July 2024.
