Right of Way Maintenance Supervisor
Duz Cho is a 100% Indigenous owned company, with ownership belonging to Mcleod Lake Indian Band. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the diverse cultures and histories of local Indigenous communities. They must have demonstrated experience in applying Indigenous knowledge in a professional setting, adhering to cultural protocols, and working with a culturally safe approach. Knowledge of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada (TRC) Calls to Action and a commitment to advancing reconciliation are essential.

We are seeking a dedicated Supervisor to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will lead crews and projects in the field, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with company values. This is a hands-on supervisory role with a focus on teamwork, quality, and safety.
Key Responsibilities
•Supervise and coordinate on-site environmental, weed mitigation and maintenance activities
•Maintain a daily field presence to monitor safety, productivity, and work quality.
•Collaborate with project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders
•Coordinate with client representatives to schedule and complete daily activities
•Coordinate supply orders and delivery to site
•Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures
•Support a positive, respectful, and inclusive work environment
•Promote Duz Cho’s culture of safety and act as an ambassador of our Code of Conduct and Values
•Ensure field activities align with engineering and environmental requirements.
•Assign daily work priorities, coordinate tasks, and resolve operational issues.
•Reallocate equipment, personnel, or materials as required within approved plans to meet production targets.
•Lead and participate in hazard assessments, toolbox talks, and daily safety interactions.
•Support and participate in safety audits, incident investigations, and corrective action development.
•Identify, document, and communicate unsafe conditions or work practices.
•Ensure contractors comply with PPE, equipment standards, and safe work procedures.
•Attend planning meetings, production meetings, and coordination sessions.
•Communicate daily objectives, upcoming schedule changes, constraints, and operational risks to work crews
Required Qualifications
•Minimum Class 5 Driver’s Licence
•Proficiency in trailering and load securement
•Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate crews in a heavy civil construction environment
•Understanding of and respect for safety protocols and best practices
•Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test
•Basic computer skills
Assets (Not Required but Considered)
•Experience operating various heavy equipment
•Erosion and sediment control experience
•UTV operation
•Resource Road light vehicle operation

Location: Prince George, BC
Employment Type: Full-Time Schedule: 14 days on / 7 days off; 12-hour shifts
Wage: $36 – $42 per hour
